CUSTOM APPAREL
I took Printmaking I at the University of Saskatchewan in the 2011-2012 school year. After one unit of silkscreen, I was obsessed, and I quickly went on to research how I could do it on fabric, and then figured out how I could do it at home. I built my own silkscreen and started making Over the Air t-shirts in the conference room at the Art Gallery of Swift Current during my lunch breaks.
I currently have an amateur printing set-up in my basement, and I work with stencils so I can easily reprint runs of shirts without having to re-develop the screen. I do every step by hand -- the stencil-cutting, the screen-printing, and the heat-setting -- and I often work from an image I design myself.
I most enjoy doing shirts meant for band merch, and I've had the honour of working with artists like League of Wolves, Megan Nash, the Moon Runners, and Bears in Hazenmore.
I also design clothing for professional print runs, having done so for the Sask Venues Project, Girls Rock Camp, and Eagle Creek Veterinary Services, among many others!
